STAR ISLAND
Star Island is an exclusive, man-made island in the beautiful, turquoise waters of Biscayne Bay, located in the southern part of Miami Beach, south of the Venetian Islands, and east of Palm Island and Hibiscus Island. It is only accessible by using Bridge Road, connected to the MacArthur Causeway, which takes you to the mainland. With its southern location, you are only a short drive away from the lively South Beach area with its sizzling nightlife, and to Downtown Miami to the American Airlines Arena, home of the 2012 and 2013 World Champions, The Miami Heat.
Even though there is a guard house at the entrance of Star Island, it is a public neighborhood and you will be allowed to tour this tropical paradise with the incredible sight of one sprawling, magnificent home after another. The children of Star Island are served by the public schools of South Pointe Elementary, Nautilus Middle, and Miami Beach High, in addition to the many private schools in South Florida.
Star Island is famous for the wealthy residents it attracts, past and present, many of which are celebrities, movie stars, and the elite from the business world, sports stars, artists, and entertainers. These headliners include our very own Latin music sensation Gloria Estefan, Madonna, Don Johnson, Thalia, Sean “P” Diddy Combs, Sylvester Stallone, Lenny Kravitz, Will Smith, Rosie O’Donnell, and Shaquille O’Neal.
Star Island boasts impressive, waterfront residences, with all the luxuries to complement its splendor and beauty. As part of the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserve, Star Island is a floating jewel of architectural masterpieces on a tropical island in one of the most premier locations of South Florida, and the world.
FISHER ISLAND
Fisher Island is a census-designated place in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States, located on a barrier island of the same name. Since 2015, Fisher Island has the highest per capita income of any place in the United States. The CDP had only 218 households and a total population of 467.
Named for automotive parts pioneer and beach real estate developer Carl G. Fisher, who once owned it, Fisher Island is three miles off shore of mainland South Florida. No road or causeway connects to the island, which is accessible by private boat, helicopter, or ferry. Once a one-family island home of the Vanderbilts, and later several other millionaires, it was sold for development in the 1960s. The property sat vacant for well over 15 years before development began for very limited and restrictive multi-family use.
VENETIAN ISLANDS
The Venetian Islands are a chain of artificial islands in Biscayne Bay in the cities of Miami and Miami Beach, Florida. The islands are, from west to east: Biscayne Island (Miami), San Marco Island (Miami), San Marino Island (Miami Beach), Di Lido Island (Miami Beach), Rivo Alto Island (Miami Beach), and Belle Isle (Miami Beach). Flagler Monument Island remains an uninhabited picnic island, originally built in 1920 as a memorial to railroad pioneer Henry Flagler. The islands are connected by bridges from the Miami mainland to Miami Beach.
